All I want for Christmas is my one front tooth!

George lost another baby tooth yesterday! Last night was not a fun night for any of us though. Poor George woke up about 1:30 and had thrown up. After we got that all cleaned up he woke a couple of hours later to do it again. I was feeding Alice, who didn't sleep well last night eiter, so daddy got to clean up George. To make sure there weren't any messes on the carpet, daddy set up George in a sleeping bag on the bathroom floor. He is feeling better today, but the doctor said what ever bug he has will probably make his stomache act up again once he's laying down and resting again tonight.

Miss Alice had her 5 month appointment today too ( we keep those doctors busy) and found out that she is, of course, perfect. She is 16 lbs 1 oz and 26 inches long. She is also asking for some teeth for Christmas this year (and a little hair, please). Just can't wait to use that tooth paste!

Thanksgiving fun

We got to spend Thanksgiving in Oregon this year and had such a good time. The boys are completely worn out from playing non-stop with their much loved cousins. And we enjoyed some really yummy turkey and fixins thanks to great grandma!

Is there really anything better than cousins? These four have so much fun when their together. George thought he'd be funny and stand in front of the TV while great grandpa was watching football. He learned pretty quick that you don't mess with grandpa's football! He had him in a pretty good hold for a while. Silly kids! Playing in the car seats is way more fun when they aren't in the car. And I can't believe Violet actually fits in the bumbo chair. Candy land was a big hit. It's so much fun now that they're old enough to understand the rules to be able to play a game.
Of course George had to hold church services while at great grandma's house.
I can't believe how old Violet looks holding her baby cousin! I'm so glad we got to go visit and introduce Alice to her Oregon family (her 2 week old visit doesn't count, she was to little to understand where she was). Soon she'll be running around chasing her cousins and brothers. I wish we lived closer to her cousin Olivia, they could play together and not worry about keeping up with the older kids.
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. We can listen to Christmas music now! Woo hoo!

Giving Thanks

Just one question: Do people who don't believe in God celebrate Thanksgiving? And if they do, why? Who are they thanking?

Here is a list of a few things I am thankful to God for, because "every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above..."

(in no particular order)
1. George Thomas
2. Nolan Wyatt
3. Alice Faith
4. David
5. A warm house
6. A healthy family
7. family, family and more family
8. friends
9. technology that helps me keep in touch with friends and family
10. that I am able to be at home with my kids everyday
11. more than enough food to keep me worrying about my weight
12. a patient and loving God
13. Grace
14. changing seasons
15. that I live in a free country (even with all it's problems)
16. a car that can take us to see family and friends over the holidays
17. another day to try and get it right
18. happiness
20. trials, set backs, and bumps in the road that open my eyes to make me realize how blessed I really am.

Happy Birthday George!

Wow! It seems like the past 6 years have gone by as fast as this past week. When your baby is one year old, 6 years old sounds like soooo far away! When George was a baby, I remember thinking how much fun it will be when he's 6 year old and in school. How nice it will be when he's able to do things for himself. Well, that day is here. He can dress himself, get his own breakfast, read, he has friends at school who I don't know, the list goes on and on. It is fun, but also a little sad because my baby doesn't need me anymore.

Anyway, here is the past year of George...

The year started out very snowy here in Idaho for us. But George has informed me that winter is his favorite season, so he was very happy. In March he lost his first tooth! I wasn't expecting this to happen for a couple of more years, but out it came and very shortly after he lost his second one. In May George graduated from pre-school. Here he is with his teachers, Mrs. Kennedy and Mrs. Pippen. Two sweet brothers. They really do love each other and are each others favorite playmate.

Nana and Pop moved to a city about an hour away from us in '07 and it was a lot of fun for the boys to live that close to some family. Sadly they had to move away this year and we miss having them so close. Probably the most memorable day of this year was when we welcomed George's little sister into the world in July. He is such sweet big brother! We bought a motor home this year and took it camping in north eastern Oregon in September. The boys had so much fun exploring the great outdoors and playing in the lake.
Here is a picture of what we did last night to celebrate his birthday. We went bowling and took a friend from church, Duncan. Thanks to bumpers, we all did pretty good and after we went out for ice cream. I have more pictures of his acutual birthday today but I've already overwhelmed you with enough pictures for now.
Happy Birthday George, we love you!

6 Years of George- year 5

I can't find the first 6 months of Georges life! All the pictures from December to May are missing and it's making me very confused and sad and I will keep looking but for now we'll pick up in June.We have a neighbor across the street named Lori who has a tire swing that the boys love to play on. Every time we go to Lori's house I have to beg, yell and threaten to get them to come home with me. The big adventure of this year was our family reunion at the Oregon coast. George had tons o' fun playing with all of the cousins and Aunts and Uncles while we were there. Here are the boys burying Aunt Katie in the sand.
Here are a couple of handsome George's bonding at the reunion.
Bowling Fun! For Nolan's birthday we went bowling and discovered that mommy is the worst bowler in the family.
George loves to pretend to play church, so when he found a small radio with ear phones it obviously became a clip on microphone for a preacher. Doesn't he look the part complete with Bible and button down shirt.
Demolition in one of these guys' specialties. Here they are demoing the old bathroom (which will eventually become part of the kitchen). Notice the cast on George's right are, he broke his wrist when he fell off of the top bunk one night.
For George's 5th birthday I tried to make a front loader cake. He loved it but it was clearly not the work of a professional.

6 years of George- year 4

This is the year that George really discovers tools. Maybe it's because we started our first big remodel project on the house by finishing the basement. Put that kid to work!

And George becomes Daddy's shadow. Boys being boys! Nolan is finally getting big enough to be a good friend to play with. These boys are like magnates with dirt. George and one of his favorite past times, helping Daddy in the garage. The kid could hammer a nail better that me and he was only 3! While Daddy was in Canada on a training exercise in May, the boys and I went to spend a few weeks in Oregon. We had a very memorable day playing at the beach with Violet, Hazel, Aunt Laura and Grandma. It was so much fun to watch these guys explore the ocean. We had a Winn family reunion in Branson this Summer which I did a horrible job of documenting. He met all sorts of family and had tons of fun playing with cousins. Here he is having some quality bonding time with Great Grandma Isenberg. There is a corn maze/ pumpkin patch near us here in Idaho that we went to this year to get our pumpkins. They have the coolest thing there, a huge watering trough full of dried corn kernels for the kids to play in. We had to literally drag the boys out when it was time to go.
George's 4th birthday came very close to Thanksgiving this year so the Kronewitter family and Grandma and Grandpa were able to celebrate with us in Mountain Home. It was the first year we could have a kid table for Thanksgiving- a pretty big mile stone I'd say!

6 years of George- year 3

Get ready for a picture over load! Year 3 was a busy year for our little man with 2 moves, getting used to a little bro and moving past toddler hood. Here is a look at our Christmas tree from George's 3rd Christmas. We trekked out into the middle of the snowy black hills of SD and cut it down ourselves. It was a fun the adventure, but the tree was pretty pitiful. We call it our Charlie Brown tree. It was a long winter in Rapid City, the snow stayed and stayed and stayed. It's amazing we all didn't go crazy cooped up in our house for days on end. Here is my adorable little builder! I believe the pants situation is because of potty training. In March of '06 David separated from active duty Air Force to try and make it in the civilian world. So we moved to Oregon and moved in with Grandma and Grandpa (thanks for putting us up mom and dad). We got to spend a beautiful spring and summer in the pacific northwest.

A couple of months later, David got offered a job with the Idaho Air National Guard so we move to Mountain Home, ID. I was a little tired of moving all over the place so to make sure we'd stay in one place for a while we bought a house. A 100 year old charming fixer upper. This is one of my favorite pictures of my boys. George is 21 months old and Nolan is 11 months old. Such happy boys! This kid is such a little worker, always happiest if he has a job to do. And there are plenty of jobs for him around here to help daddy with. Every October the fire department down the block from us has an open house and gives fire truck rides. It is one of the high lights of George's year. And here is George turning 3 years old at the end of a very hectic year. He handled it like a champ and for a long time one of his favorite games to play was U-Haul, where he and Nolan would load up everything in their bedroom onto a bed or into a closet and say they're moving.
